Hautelook...Pixi and Pop First Impressions

I placed my first Hautelook order a couple weeks ago when my black gel eyeliner dried up and Hautelook had Pixi and Pop cosmetics on their website.  Of course, it wouldn't have been worth the shipping if I only bought their gel eyeliner, so, I ended up purchasing a total of three things from their sale.  I received them in the mail today and was super excited to open them.

My first impressions on Hautelook:  As a whole, I really love the website and the discounts that they pass on their customers.  A lot of people complain about the shipping times etc. but I didn't feel like it took all that long, but then again, I wasn't entirely impatient while waiting for it.  I did receive one damaged product which you will see in the photos further on, but I don't really know who would be at fault for that (Hautelook, Pop, or the postal service) I feel like Hautelook did their best to preserve the products, they were wrapped individually in tissue paper, then wrapped together in tissue paper so they wouldn't bounce around again one another.  Then, it was all wrapped in bubble wrap.
These are the three items that I purchased: Pop Beauty Pretty Puzzle Smoked out Silver, Pixi by Petra No.1 Onyx Gel Liner, and Pop Beauty Petal Jam lip balm in budding berry.
Pop Beauty Pretty Puzzle in Smoked out Silver: Sorry for the odd picture, it was the only way I could capture all the colors true to life.  As you can see this is the damaged product.  I'm not overly upset about it because it is only one eyeshadow and it's still very useable.  They look pretty nice overall and I can't wait to use them and I think it's great for traveling =D
PS: Thumbs up for Harry Potter in the background lol
Pixi by Petra No.1 Onyx Gel Liner: I haven't used this yet obviously since I just received it today but I already know that I don't like the brush that it comes with.  The brush hair is too flimsy for me and it end ups making a really thick line.  As for the actual liner, it's very nice and smooth, and I'm kind of in love with it.  It's very black and I'm uber excited to use it today.
Pop beauty Petal jam lip balm in Budding berry: *Sigh* So far, I'm really enjoying this stuff.  It claims to work as a lip balm, lip primer before lipstick, lipgloss, or it can be used on elbows and cuticles.  It's pretty long lasting and it definitely makes your lips and elbows feel extremely smooth and soft.  It tastes sooooo good and I enjoy the scent of it but my mother HATES the scent and says it smells like fruity cat pee.  I don't completely understand the cat pee thing but...whatever she can be pretty odd.  It contains jojoba oil, avocado oil, macadamia nut oil, and vitamin E.  No wonder it makes everything feel smooth and soft; so many oils!

Anyways, overall I'm not disappointed by anything YET.  If my opinions change on any of these products, I will be sure to let everyone know!!

French Wrap

So, as I was sifting through my local Sally Beauty Supply store a couple months ago, I stumbled across a new product by Nail Bliss Pro called French Wrap Professional Manicure Kit.  I was intrigued by it, so I purchased for about 34.99.  Although a little pricey, it claimed that it would last well after one week so I figured that if it lasted, then it would be well worth the money spent.
A look at what the box looks like.
Contents include: 2 different styles of french wraps (thick and thin), instruction manual, buffer, file, nail glue, base seal, and top seal.
Always read the instructions before beginning your manicure.  Clip, clean, file, and remove cuticles on your nails.  Decide which thickness style you prefer for your manicure and then size up your french wraps to your nail by matching the nail wrap to your nail bed.  Remember that these are not meant to be tips to your nails, therefore, they DO NOT add any length whatsoever.  Then, buff your nail with the pink buffer and then begin gluing your wraps to your nails.  Only glue the white wrap to your nail and not the clear housing.  Once your wrap is secured to your nail, the instructions explain that you should clip the tab off of the housing and the rest of the housing will fall away, however, I prefer to just bend the tab and then the housing will just come apart from your nail without all of the different pieces.  After all of your wraps are in place, file the excess to be flush with your natural nail and apply one coat of the base seal.  Allow the base seal to dry for at least five minutes and then apply two coats of the top seal.  The top seal appears to dry fairly quickly, but be careful because if you accidentally bump into something with your nails, it will damage the top seal.
The finished product =) Sorry if the above picture isn't the best quality.
After having this product for a couple months, I think it is fair to say that I really enjoy this product and would definitely repurchase and recommend to others (and have lol).  The only downside to this product is that it claims to last at least a week and it never lasted that long for me.  At most, four to five days, although this could be because at my job, I am extremely hard on my nails.  Who knows...but, overall I give it an 8 out of 10.
